Accounting Manager for Real Estate

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional with expertise in using Appfolio and Quickbooks online. This role involves managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate and compliant financial records for real estate properties.
  • Utilize Appfolio software for financial management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports to ensure timely and accurate decision-making.
  • Conduct regular financial closing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper recording of transactions.
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of real estate assets.
  • Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to provide financial insights and support.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial data.
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in real estate accounting.
  • Proficiency in Appfolio software and other accounting tools.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and real estate finance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

  • CPA certification.
  • Experience with tax preparation and compliance.
  • Knowledge of real estate laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
