What Does a Workforce Planner Do?
A Workforce Planner ensures staff optimization by allocating adequate resources to meet demand. They monitor schedule adherence, service levels, absenteeism, and other applicable metrics. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
The ideal candidate will have a BPO Operations background and at least 2 years of experience in Workforce Planning. They should possess expertise in Forecasting, Planning, and Scheduling, as well as Real-Time Management. Strong numerical literacy and organizational skills are also essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with operations, clients, and client services to gather relevant data for forecasting and capacity planning.
- Maintain a roster of staff with accurate employee details, including availability, preferences, and skills.
- Publish over/under snapshots and create action plans to address staffing gaps or minimize overages.
- Ensure the seating plan is accurate and adequate to meet operational needs.
Requirements:
- BPO Operations background and at least 2 years of experience in Workforce Planning.
- Expertise in Forecasting, Planning, and Scheduling, as well as Real-Time Management.
- Strong numerical literacy and organizational skills.
- Ability to read trends and project them into future forecasts.
