We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Pharmacist to join our team at CORDEVCO CORPORATION. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective supply of medicines to our customers.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing and promoting generic medicines, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines. You will also be involved in maintaining and improving people's health by providing advice and information, as well as supplying prescription medicines. Additionally, you will sell over-the-counter medical products and instruct patients on their proper use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Filling prescription forms and preparing orders on the computer station
- Dispensing drugs and counseling customers
- Ordering and storing medicines, ensuring they remain safe, pure, and effective
- Dispensing medications according to prescriptions issued by authorized medical practitioners
- Overseeing the performance of packaging, labeling, measuring, compounding, storing, charging, and recording medications used in patient care
- Reviewing prescriptions for appropriateness of therapy to determine ingredients needed and to ensure correct dosage
- Advising patients and care providers of potential drug interactions, possible side effects, storage information, and instructions on how to use medications
- Preparing sterile products for patient administration; determining proper preparation, packaging, sterilization, storage, and stability requirements of the product
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/College Degree in Pharmacy
- Registered Licensed Pharmacist
- At least 6-months retail/drugstore experience
- Familiarity with Point-of-sale (POS) systems
