We are seeking a Category Growth Specialist to join our team at Nestlé SA. As a key member of our Commercial Development function, you will play a vital role in driving category growth through the development and execution of commercial plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Category Leadership
    • You will be accountable for clearly defining the category shopper segmentation and driving category growth through tactics based on consumer, shopper, and customer understanding as input to long-term business strategy.
    • You will work closely with our global and local teams to identify priority channels for the category and develop category strategy, definition, and identification of category growth drivers.
  • Channel Expertise
    • You will be accountable for identifying opportunities within all prioritized channels to execute key category initiatives, ensuring a frictionless online/offline experience.
    • You will define the picture of success for the category in each prioritized channel and enable its implementation, continuous review, and optimization.
  • Shopper Expertise
    • You will ensure shopper considerations across all relevant outputs, applying shopper understanding in category, channel, brand, and customer plans.
    • You will equip customer teams with actionable shopper insights, inspiring customers to implement aligned category strategies and initiatives.
    • You will craft the shopper communication brief, based on outcomes from the Nestlé Brand engagement process, to ensure proper briefing to the Shopper Activation manager.

Strategic Revenue Management (Added Benefit)

  • You will contribute to aligned brand pricing and promotion strategies across the portfolio, defining and executing optimized pack price architecture.
  • You will expose the effectiveness of the full commercial investment mix and seek opportunities to optimize it.
  • You will ensure optimal commercial plans are in place to execute against aligned portfolio and brand pricing strategies, driving return on investment.
  • You will develop clear promotional guidelines/policies across our channels and customers, infused with consumer and shopper insights.
  • You will partner with marketing, sales, and finance to optimize trade promotion plans based on systematic promotional evaluation, challenge effectiveness, funding, and mechanics.
  • You will be accountable for the effective and efficient spend relating to all shopper-facing activities identified in the annual and monthly planning processes.
