Accountant Job Opportunity

The team is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to manage vendor-related requests, review payment request forms from internal stakeholders, and support general accounting activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.

This role is responsible for managing vendor setup and modification requests in the system, verifying documentation and adherence to internal controls. It also involves preparing manual journal entries, including accruals, amortizations, and account classifications, as well as supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes by providing timely and accurate accounting data.

Maintaining organized financial records and documentation in line with audit requirements is also a key responsibility of this role. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and manage payment request forms submitted by internal end users, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and correct account coding before routing for processing.
  • Handle vendor setup and modification requests in the system, verifying documentation and adherence to internal controls.
  • Prepare manual journal entries, including accruals, amortizations, and account classifications.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes by providing timely and accurate accounting data.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation in line with audit requirements.
  • Coordinate with various departments to resolve discrepancies or questions related to payment requests and vendor information.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or general ledger support.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and journal entry preparation.
  • Experience using any accounting or ERP system; Oracle experience is a strong plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., data sorting, basic formulas).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Experience:
  • Working in a shared services or multinational environment.
  • Exposure to financial close processes and vendor master data management.
