Job Overview

The role of the Accountant is multifaceted, encompassing a range of responsibilities that contribute to the effective management of financial queries, daily receipting, and bank account administration.

This position also involves handling term deposit investments, communicating maturity dates, conducting financial reviews, generating reports, and managing cash flow forecasting. Additionally, the Accountant will be responsible for year-end financial checks, accrual journals, budget preparation, and issue contribution levies to owners.

A key aspect of this role is organizing audits, liaising with external auditors on audit queries, onboarding and offboarding new/lost business, preparing and reviewing quarterly BAS, yearly tax preparation, processing and updating Management Agreements, reviewing bot exception reports, coordinating and managing Body Corporate loans, providing explanations or relevant information to various parties, attending finance meetings with external clients, and managing miscellaneous on-charging to owners.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree qualification in accounting or a similar discipline, with a minimum of 4 years of accounting experience. They should have expertise in budget preparation, a strong understanding of financial statements, and experience reviewing financial statements and communicating results to stakeholders. The candidate should also have proven account reconciliation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge and experience in Income Tax and BAS.

The successful candidate will possess strong numerical and analytical skills, excellent organizational and time management abilities, high data accuracy and attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask effectively, along with self-motivation.
