Property Staff Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Property Staff Accountant to fill this role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing bank reconciliations, expense accruals, and journal entries for a portfolio of clients.

This position requires reviewing general ledger account activity to ensure financial statement accuracy and adherence to accounting policies. Additionally, you will produce monthly financial statements and internal/external reports as needed/requested.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of internal controls and segregation of duties required to drive consistent implementation of best practices. You will also identify opportunities for process improvement and maintain current industry knowledge by reading professional publications and exploring on-the-job education opportunities.

In this role, you will prioritize and juggle multiple projects at once, particularly during month and year-end. You will recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.

  • This is an entry-level position that requires around 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • You should have experience working in a GBS, BPO or Shared Service Center, preferably in the USA.
  • A strong understanding of accounting terminology in English is essential.
  • You must have strong communication skills in writing (prepare a writing sample).
  • An understanding of Cash and Accrual basis is necessary.
  • Experience working from home is preferred.
  • Accent level 2 is desirable.
  • You should feel comfortable working with deadlines and multitasking.
