Supply Chain Planning Technology Analyst Job

Gartner is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Planning Technology Analyst to drive new thought-leading research and contribute to the evolution of current and emerging solutions.

This role is based remotely in a global setting, requiring an individual contributor with significant experience in developing, managing, or using supply chain planning technologies. A robust understanding of key planning processes such as Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Demand Planning (DP), Supply Planning (SP), etc., is essential.

About the Role

  • Researching and writing reports on the changing vendor marketplace for Supply Chain Planning solutions, new technology developments, and defining emerging supply chain planning ecosystems, architecture, and business models.

  • Advising business and technology clients on the best options to select, implement, and execute tools, solutions, and technologies for Supply Chain Planning to solve mission-critical priorities.

  • Contributing to Gartner-wide research and ideation on the evolution of current and emerging Supply Chain Planning solutions and related technologies.

  • Delivering presentations to large audiences and supporting sales in the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Developing and maintaining knowledge of supply chain planning technologies, tools, and solutions.

  2. Providing strategic advice to clients on Supply Chain Planning solutions, including recommendations for implementation and execution.

  3. Conducting research on emerging trends and technologies in Supply Chain Planning and presenting findings to clients.

  4. Serving as a subject matter expert on supply chain planning technologies and providing guidance to clients.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain planning, with a focus on technology and innovation.

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality research and analysis to clients.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior-level executives.
