Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct quality assurance teams in evaluating incoming materials and products during production.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures, analyzing data from inspection reports using statistical process control charts.
  • Resolve quality issues and non-conformities through inspection procedures.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing team to evaluate suppliers for quality standards compliance.
  • Plan and schedule staff work to ensure regular audits of production processes and systems.
  • Implement HACCP plans, GMP, and SSOP to maintain set standards at critical control points.
  • Conduct meetings, demonstrations, and training sessions as required, coordinating with senior management.
  • Monitor compliance with FDA and government regulations for minimum legal requirements.
  • Submit regular monthly reports on supplier raw materials and finished goods quality profiles.
  • Familiarize themselves with inspection processes, procedures, and equipment used during quality inspections.
  • Exercise administrative control over the Quality Assurance team, enforcing company policies on employee performance, training, and discipline.
  • Maintain an orderly filing system of departmental documents.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Preferably a college graduate in Food Technology or related field; Engineering graduates are an advantage.
  • Experience: 5 years of prior experience in manufacturing with relevant QA/QC experience in the food industry.
  • Special Skills: Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
