Senior Accounting Professional

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic organization.

As a Senior Accounting Professional, you will be responsible for performing complex accounting functions. You will process technical entries for premiums and collections onto the system, conduct peer review on policies entered onto the company's system, prepare monthly schedules, and ensure timely settlement of amounts due. Additionally, you will review reinsurance contracts quarterly/annually and calculate provisions for policies subject to profit commissions, no claims bonus, and premium adjustments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process technical entries for premiums and collections onto the system.
  • Conduct peer review on policies entered onto the company's system.
  • Prepare monthly schedules and ensure timely settlement of amounts due.
  • Review reinsurance contracts quarterly/annually and calculate provisions for policies subject to profit commissions, no claims bonus, and premium adjustments.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and terminologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management skills to meet competing deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a business course, preferably in finance or accounting.
  • At least 2-3 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a shared service environment.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. They should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
