Medical Support Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Support Specialist to provide exceptional administrative support to healthcare professionals in a remote setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient records efficiently and accurately, updating EMR systems with new patient information, medical history, and treatment plans.

  • Utilize your familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to manage patient data effectively.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive medical information.
  • Provide timely and professional responses to patient inquiries via phone, email, or chat.

This role also involves assisting healthcare professionals with scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating follow-up care, as well as collaborating with medical billing teams to ensure accurate coding and billing information.

Requirements:
  • Prior experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation, with proficiency in using EMR systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex medical concepts to patients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate record-keeping and data entry.
