Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tax Accounting Specialist to manage complex tax compliance and advisory services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

The selected individual will prepare and review individual, corporate, trust, partnership, and SMSF tax returns, ensuring adherence to ATO regulations and deadlines. Additionally, they will provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients, and assist in the preparation of financial statements as they relate to tax matters.

This role also involves client management and supporting junior staff. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, and 3-5 years of experience in tax accounting within a public accounting firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, trust, partnership, and SMSF tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with ATO regulations and deadlines.
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits and notices.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients.
  • Research and interpret tax laws and regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in tax accounting within a public accounting firm.
  • Strong understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
