The Opportunity

As a dedicated Business Strategy Analyst, you will utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis to provide thought-leadership on industry trends, market developments, USAA's strategic direction, regulatory environment, and macroeconomic trends for the business unit. You will work closely with key stakeholders to identify business assumptions and hypotheses around line-of-business strategy.

You will assist experienced Business Strategy Analysts and subject matter experts in refining hypotheses and identifying business questions to explore further. Your analytical framework and blueprints will help answer business questions identified in the business portfolio, product, or member experience.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and uncover strategic insights related to Profit & Loss performance, including Product Strategy, Pricing, Marketing, Sales, Credit Risk, Distribution Channels, and Member Experience.
  • Leverage advanced data-driven problem-solving techniques to manipulate and interpret business results.
  • Translate findings into insights for strategy management and execution.
  • Prepare materials to communicate the significance of strategic insights to senior leaders and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 4 years of experience in data and/or analytics or strategy consulting; OR Advanced Degree in Business, Science, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline with 2 years of experience in data and/or analytics or strategy consulting.
  • Experience identifying business needs and developing strategic plans driven by qualitative/quantitative analysis and market insights.
  • Demonstrated experience using data analytics to formulate data-driven insights.
  • Experience performing data analysis using various data analytics tools (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Tableau, R, Python, SQL, Snowflake, SAS, Adobe Analytics).

What Sets You Apart:

  • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.
  • Financial Services Experience.
  • Proficiency with financial transaction data (such as debit cards and credit cards).

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $85,040 - $162,550. Employees are paid within the salary range based on their experience and market data of the position. Incentives may be available based on overall corporate and individual performance.
