Financial Leadership Opportunity

A dedicated and experienced Financial Manager is sought to oversee the financial operations and compliance of a non-profit organization. The role involves managing payroll, superannuation, and tax liabilities, as well as overseeing bill approvals and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Governance: Manage financial transactions, ensure timely settlements, and maintain accurate records.
  • Receivables & Invoicing: Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on payments, and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Expense Monitoring & Financial Oversight: Track spending, adhere to budgets, investigate transactions, and oversee cash flow and liabilities.
  • Bookkeeping Support & Coordination: Provide transaction data to bookkeepers, ensure account reconciliation, and respond to financial inquiries.
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare financial reports for decision-makers, assist auditors, and provide financial insights.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification.
  • 5+ years in a senior financial role, preferably in non-profit or community organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian financial regulations and frameworks.
  • Experience in financial planning, analysis, reporting, and policy development.
  • Proficiency in Xero, MS Excel/Google Sheets, and ideally Salesforce.
  • Leadership skills, results-driven, and team-building abilities.
  • High ethics and integrity, committed to the organization's mission.
