Job Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to design, implement, and maintain our organisation's IT infrastructure, focusing on Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Defender, and Purview.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP services.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams platforms.
  • Configure and manage Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) for identity and access management solutions.
  • Deploy and optimise Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and security strategies.
  • Support and maintain cloud infrastructure within Azure, including virtual machines, networking, and security configurations.
    • Implement and manage Microsoft Defender for endpoint, identity, and cloud security measures.
    • Work with Microsoft Purview to ensure compliance, data governance, and security policies.
    • Assist in implementing security best practices, vulnerability management, and patching strategies.
  • Provide technical support for escalated infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security through proactive monitoring tools.
  • Ensure regular backups and disaster recovery plans are in place and tested.
  • Automate IT processes using PowerShell, Azure Automation, and other scripting tools.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ARM templates, or similar technologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimisation of IT infrastructure and cloud resources.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, focusing on Microsoft technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server administration, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments.
  • Experience with Intune for device and application management.
  • Familiarity with security tools like Microsoft Defender and compliance solutions like Purview.
  • Exposure to scripting and automation using PowerShell.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or equivalent are advantageous.
