Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a creative and motivated individual to develop and enhance written content for college applications, providing detailed feedback and emphasizing clarity, style, and structure.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with the college application process, possess exceptional writing skills, and be adept at providing written feedback on nonfiction writing with an eye to style, structure, and intellectual clarity.

Responsibilities:
  • Write and edit essays for college applications, including brainstorming with consultants, giving feedback to students, and editing rough drafts to fix grammar, clarity, style, flow, structure, and word count.
  • Research topics to strengthen student work, depending on their interests and profiles.
  • Collaborate with team members on drafting, brainstorming, augmenting, and reviewing assignments, especially those with urgent deadlines.
  • Administer tasks associated with assignments, including communicating logistical needs, organizing send-outs, drafting email updates, scheduling review meetings, notetaking, and preparing meeting notes.
  • Contribute to business development projects during the off-season to support the growth of the company.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional English verbal and written skills with a strong grip on grammar.
  • Graduated from a 4-year degree program in English, Literature, Journalism, Education, or related fields.
  • Portfolio with a minimum of three written samples (one creative piece and one research sample encouraged).
  • Ability to write and edit skillfully without using AI tools.
  • Willingness to participate in an internship day before training, which includes a paid day shadowing team members, engaging in editing tasks, and experiencing the daily workflow.
