Business Intelligence Specialist

The role of Business Intelligence Specialist is pivotal in ensuring the reliability and accuracy of critical data flows across business systems integrations. This involves implementing new features, monitoring integration health, troubleshooting operational issues, and proactively safeguarding system integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Integration Monitoring & Maintenance: Oversight of the reliability and health of business systems integrations, with prompt identification and resolution of any issues.
  • Integration Implementation & QA: Implementation of new features and integrations, along with suitable quality assurance plans.
  • Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Investigation and resolution of operational issues across systems, collaboration with technical teams and operations teams.
  • Data Procurement & Transmission: Management of SQL-based procurement and movement of critical data flows.
  • Operational Analysis: Analysis of system performance and data flows to detect anomalies, misalignments, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement.
  • Documentation: Safeguarding and future-proofing operational processes through maintaining high standards of documentation.
Requirements:
  • SQL Fluency: Demonstrated ability to turn complex data manipulation steps into efficient, comprehensible, and resilient code, including reverse-engineering existing code as needed.
  • System Integrations: Familiarity with business systems integrations, data modeling, data pipelines, and concepts such as APIs and ETL.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to critically assess operational data flows, investigate anomalies, and identify root causes of system issues.
  • Attention to Detail: Proven ability to ensure data accuracy and reliability, with high sensitivity to edge cases and precision tasks such as mass updates.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to approach challenges with innovation and resilience, consistently delivering effective solutions.
