Job Title: Knowledge Base Writer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Content Specialist to create and organize helpful articles and guides for our customers and employees. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, be able to explain complex concepts in simple terms, and possess a strong attention to detail.

This role involves creating high-quality technical documents, including software guides, user manuals, how-to articles, and update notes. You will work closely with software developers and product teams to understand new features and translate technical language into plain English.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Write Clear Technical Documents: Create concise and accurate instructions that users can easily follow.
  • Collaborate with Development Teams: Work with engineers to understand new features and ensure documentation is up-to-date.
  • Translate Technical Language: Explain complex concepts in simple terms, making it easy for users to understand.
  • Create Visual Aids: Design diagrams, screenshots, and flowcharts to enhance the user experience.
  • Organize and Maintain Documents: Ensure documents are well-organized and easy to find, with clear headings and search functionality.
  • Test and Validate Documentation: Verify that instructions are accurate and effective.
  • Update Existing Documents: Regularly review and update existing documentation to keep it relevant and useful.
Requirements:
  • Tier III employee or higher (internal requirement)
  • Meet or exceed quality standards
  • No current disciplinary warnings
  • Good attendance record
  • Strong writing skills - ability to explain difficult things in simple ways
  • Experience writing different types of technical documents
  • Comfortable asking engineers many questions to get information
  • Knowledge of documentation software like Confluence, Zendesk Guide, or similar
