Mechanical Engineer

Seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in fire sprinkler design to create innovative solutions for commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients and internal teams to develop fire protection systems that meet strict building codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop fire sprinkler system designs using AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP software.
  • Estimate project costs and prepare take-offs using Planswift and Excel.
  • Ensure designs meet New York City Building Codes and applicable standards.
  • Review architectural and mechanical plans to develop system layouts.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients remotely.
  • Use Fire Elite or equivalent software for hydraulic calculations and system optimization.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Planswift, Excel, and Fire Elite.
  • Knowledge of MEP design tools.
  • Strong familiarity with building codes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
  • At least 2 years of experience in fire sprinkler design.
