Subscription Management Specialist Role

Job Summary:

This is a highly specialized role for a seasoned billing and accounts receivable professional. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with subscription-based business models, strong technical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire subscription lifecycle in Stripe, including new setups, plan changes, proration, cancellations, reconciliations, and revenue tracking.
  • Take ownership of dispute representation, preparing and submitting evidence packets to banks/card networks to protect company revenue.
  • Develop and maintain efficient billing workflows in HubSpot, automating tickets and cross-team communication.
  • Support month-end close by generating AR aging reports, performing reconciliations, and forecasting cash collections.
  • Investigate delinquencies, analyzing root causes, adjusting accounts, and handling outbound collections calls/emails when necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales & Customer Success teams to ensure accurate subscription data.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance AR efficiency and scalability.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in billing and accounts receivable, preferably in a SaaS or subscription business environment.
  • Proven expertise with Stripe Subscriptions, extending beyond just invoice/payment processing.
  • Direct experience preparing and submitting dispute representation evidence to banks/payment processors.
  • Strong knowledge of HubSpot for AR/billing workflows.
  • Familiarity with collections outreach (calls + email), with a focus on solving underlying process and data issues contributing to delinquency.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills for reconciliations, AR aging, and reporting.
  • Excellent detail-orientation, proactivity, and ability to own critical AR processes in a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
