We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of News and Public Relations Associate.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for journalism and public relations to join our team and contribute to our journalistic and public relations work.

  • Researching, covering, and writing business stories
  • Writing and scheduling weekly newsletters
  • Writing weekly podcast features
  • Pitching, researching, and writing newsworthy press releases
  • Managing public affairs and media efforts, including writing and placing op-eds and mobilizing editorial campaigns
  • Creating graphics and other creatives
  • Managing our social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter)
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reporting to a team lead and CEO
  • Working alongside other business journalists and PR associates
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • One to two years of experience working in digital marketing, journalism, or public relations
  • Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Email marketing experience
  • Social media management from a corporate perspective
  • Basic graphic design using Canva or Photoshop
  • Technical competence to resolve and troubleshoot problems independently
  • Good organizational and planning skills
