Accounting Specialist

Remote accounting specialist sought to maintain accurate financial records and assist in the preparation of financial statements. Ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and minimum 2 years of experience in accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes providing accurate financial data and analysis.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting preferably in a large accounting firm.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems is preferred.
