Financial Leadership Opportunity

We seek a seasoned finance professional to lead our financial accounting function, driving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

About the Role
  • Lead the financial accounting process, overseeing end-to-end general ledger functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee key financial activities: manage monthly project costing, departmental reporting, and facilitate R&D tax rebate submissions.
  • Enhance our financial systems: drive continuous improvement of financial policies and procedures, ensuring seamless integration with our operations.
  • Manage external relationships: serve as the primary point of contact for auditors, advisors, and consultants, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Requirements
  • Highly experienced finance professional with a strong background in supporting Australian businesses.
  • Bachelor degree in commerce and/or accounting and CPA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Existing Financial Controller or Finance Manager with 10+ years experience supporting an Australian based business, preferably with international operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll and GST legislation.
  • Proven experience managing offshore teams and building relationships with stakeholders, as well as managing external auditors and tax consultants.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced start-up/scale-up environment.
