This role involves major features, collaboration with the design team, and delivering high-quality user experiences. The ideal candidate has a drive to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX, strong experience in Kotlin, and excellent communication skills.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Android engineer who can help us support our expanding user base and work on new projects. This is a key role for someone who thinks strategically, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about making product decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Owning major features and collaborating with the design team.
  • Shape the future of the Android team.
  • Own, maintain and improve reliability metrics for key features.
  • Participate in cross-team discussions — Product, Design, Engineering.
  • Review pull requests and support other teammates.
  • Handle critical issues or unexpected challenges.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with Android components.
  • Experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.
  • Product design intuition and user empathy.
  • Drive to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX.
  • Understanding of the importance of testing and how to write tests.

Bonus Requirements

  • Experience building, maintaining, or contributing to open source projects in Android.
  • Experience with iOS, Web, or NodeJS.
