About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Android Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications for the Android platform.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning major features and working closely with our design team to ensure alignment and consistency.
  • Shaping the future of our Android team by contributing to architecture decisions and technical direction.
  • Ensuring the reliability and performance of key features through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Engineering, to drive business outcomes.
  • Reviewing code changes and providing constructive feedback to ensure high standards of quality and maintainability.
  • Handling critical issues and navigating unexpected challenges to deliver solutions that meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Maintaining and improving nightly builds for the QA team to facilitate timely testing and validation.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, preferably with a strong background in Android development.
  • Familiarity with Android components and the ability to leverage them effectively.
  • A proven track record of building or contributing to at least one Android app, showcasing your skills and expertise.
  • A deep understanding of product design principles and user empathy, enabling you to create intuitive and engaging user experiences.
  • Drive and motivation to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX, consistently seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • A solid foundation in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
