Job Role Overview

The role of a store manager is crucial in maintaining inventory levels, scheduling staff work, and providing store performance reports. They are responsible for ensuring overall standard compliance, overseeing the stocking, organization, cleanliness, and food safety practices within the store.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures adherence to cash handling procedures, including petty cash funds, change funds, and cashier's funds. All overhead bins and vaults must be locked at all times.
  • Digitally accounts for telco/air load balances, phone cards, and high-valued items such as liquors and cigarettes.
  • Manages stock availability, sends orders, and confirms disposals. Also performs daily tasks and sends sales updates to the Operations Manager.
  • Utilizes the inventory management system effectively. Aware of creating Return to Vendor (RTV) vouchers for Direct To Store Deliver (DSD) suppliers.
  • Cuts terminal sales for the opening shift and prepares sales for deposit. Sales deposits should be settled according to the assigned bank.
  • Fills out the endorsement logbook for the incoming shift. Uploads store deliverables to the provided link.
  • Strictly adheres to food safety standards to prevent customer complaints related to food.
  • Conducts monthly assessments for subordinates and implements compliance to operations standards according to the SOE Checklist.
  • Reports non-compliance employees to HR and enforces adherence to company policies.
  • Oversees the accuracy and completeness of store forms and documents.
  • Prioritizes utility billings/SOAs to be sent to Head Office before due dates to avoid fines and penalties.
  • Implements and executes programs that generate sales, monitor cost reduction items, and safeguards company assets.
  • Reports equipment breakdowns to minimize sales opportunity loss.
  • Performs other functions assigned from time to time, which are directly or indirectly connected with operations.
Key Qualifications
  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • Must have at least 3 years of working experience in a related field.
  • Preferably has at least 3 years of experience as a supervisor specializing in Sales (Retail/General) or equivalent.
  • Must demonstrate excellent leadership skills.
