Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for compiling and analyzing financial information, preparing reports, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records.

They will also assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, reconcile general ledger accounts, and perform or review monthly bank reconciliations.

Additionally, the candidate will prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow reports, and other financial documents to summarize our current and projected financial position.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Accounting degree
  • Experience collaborating with auditors and accountants to prepare year-end financial and tax reporting workpapers
  • Prior work experience in an office environment
  • Competency in accounting software and databases, as well as MS Office, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of filing NYC Department of Finance RPIEs is a plus
  • Knowledge of filing NYC Tax Commission TC-201s is a plus
  • Ability to ensure accuracy in job delivery
  • Ability to meticulously organize and prioritize tasks
  • Honest, personable, dependable, punctual, and hardworking collaborator
  • Very good communication skills
