Cloud Database Administrator II Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to design, develop and maintain large scale database systems that support critical customer applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Automate the creation of standard database configurations for various platforms including Oracle, Postgres, MySQL and SQL Server
  • Maintain, support and upgrade database systems as required
  • Collaborate with AWS to coordinate mandatory version upgrades
  • Assist development teams with migrations between database platforms
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and assist development teams with query optimizations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering
  • At least 2-3 years of overall DBA experience
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and BASH
  • Experience with Oracle and Postgres database platforms
  • Familiarity with automation and IaC tools like CloudFormation and Terraform
