Job Description:

  1. Accounting Operations: The Senior Accounting Clerk is responsible for the preparation of the Revolving Fund and its replenishments. This involves gathering all DCRS, encoding adjustments to Aging, and updating accounts based on their due dates.
  2. Receivables Management: The Senior AC collects loans receivable, makes adjusting entries, and encodes Aging transactions. Additionally, they sort Aging at month-end and update remarks as provided by the Collection Department.
  3. Bank Reconciliation: The Senior AC prepares Bank Reconciliation and ensures that the bank balance equals the Balance per Book.
  4. Account Reclassification: They reclassify accounts (ROPOA, ITL, PPE, etc.).
  5. Scheduling and Reporting: The Senior AC gathers CVs, JVs, and DCRS for monthly schedules of OPEX, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP). They also update Leave Cards and Time Keeping Summaries.
  6. Cash Counting and Monitoring: The Senior AC performs Daily Cash Counts and monitors loan releases through the Daily Cash Position Report.

Key Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or a related field.
  2. At least 2 years of work experience in a similar role.
  3. Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures, including hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
  4. Proficient in using basic applications in a Windows-based environment, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  5. Excellent customer experience and problem-solving skills.
  6. Effective English communication skills, both oral and written.
  7. Action-oriented, with the ability to follow up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes.
  8. Knowledge and skill of modern office practices, procedures, equipment, and standard clerical techniques.
