Medical Liaison Specialist

This position involves providing exceptional support to patients by actively listening to their concerns and needs. The goal is to ensure that these requirements are met through effective communication with various stakeholders, including family members, medical personnel, and administrative staff.
To achieve this, the successful candidate will need to have a thorough understanding of our facility's policies and procedures, as well as knowledge of available medical resources and regulations. This enables them to provide informed guidance and assistance to patients, helping them navigate the healthcare system with confidence.
Responsibilities- Handle incoming calls in accordance with established procedures and standards.
- Assist patients with their queries and concerns in a timely and empathetic manner.
- Gather outstanding patient balances and facilitate payment arrangements.
- Provide support to third-party entities, such as insurance companies, regarding patient accounts.
- Make outbound collection calls as per procedure and departmental guidelines.
- Address patient billing inquiries and resolve any associated issues.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines when handling sensitive patient information.
- Foster a positive team environment and contribute to departmental and company goals.
- Ensure reliable attendance and punctuality, meeting deadlines and work expectations.
- Possession of a college degree or at least 2 years of relevant education.
- Background in the medical field or related courses is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Capacity to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Basic mathematical skills for performing calculations as required.
- Detailed oriented approach to tasks and responsibilities.
