Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Based in a remote setting from Asia, this role allows for normal day time hours and reports directly to the Senior DevOps Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical skills and a strong ability to work across departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking an experienced professional to set up, implement, and support technological solutions that meet our business needs.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing CI/CD pipelines for production deployments and developing monitoring and alerting systems to ensure optimal system performance.
  • This role involves creating and maintaining 'infrastructure as code' configurations to establish cloud environments on AWS and Cloudflare.
  • The DevOps Engineer will design methodologies and procedures to guarantee system resilience and automatic recovery from failure with minimal intervention.
  • We require a skilled communicator who can engage effectively with various departments within the organisation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS, preferably with an Associate level certification.
  • The ideal candidate will have a background in infrastructure, database, and network administration for highly available and scalable applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux System Administration and Bash scripting is essential.
  • We require proven experience with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and AWS Serverless technologies.
  • Familiarity with web services, APIs, and RESTful architecture is necessary.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and distributed networks is required.
  • The candidate should be proficient in managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker is also necessary.
  • Familiarity with the open-source monitoring stack of Grafana is required.
  • A development background, with experience in Python, NodeJS, and Nginx configuration, is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
