Special Education Teacher Role

This role requires a qualified educator to instruct and support students in both synchronous and asynchronous learning environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to adapt to diverse student needs, and experience working with students who require special education services.

Responsibilities
  • Orient students to their course materials, communicate expectations, and monitor progress.
  • Demonstrate expertise in assigned courses, staying up-to-date on curriculum and educational standards.
  • Foster a positive learning environment, understanding and respecting the unique backgrounds and requirements of PA Cyber students.
  • Lead live class sessions in virtual classrooms, collaborating with teachers to ensure seamless instruction.
  • Establish clear objectives, create engaging lesson plans, and align instructional content with state standards.
  • PARTICIPATE IN school initiatives focused on student achievement and testing.
  • Offer regular tutoring sessions, holding office hours to support students with individual questions.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, assigning interventions as needed, and communicating results to Academic Advisors and families.
Qualifications

The successful candidate must hold a valid Pennsylvania State Teaching Certificate in Special Education, with job-related experience preferred. Additionally, they must possess Child Abuse Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Clearance.
