Job Title:

A Certified Accounting Professional is sought to provide expert financial management support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Expertise
    • Provide accurate and timely financial record maintenance, including general ledger updates.
    • Prepare and review financial statements such as income statements and balance sheets.
    • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure account accuracy.
  • Payroll Administration
    • Process client payroll using tools like Gusto, ADP, or other payroll systems, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Track and report employee benefits, deductions, and tax withholdings accurately.
  • Tax Compliance Support
    • Prepare sales tax filings and corporate tax documentation in adherence to U.S. federal and state tax regulations.
    • Ensure year-end tax preparation in collaboration with clients' certified public accountants (CPAs).
  • Accounts Management
    • Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable efficiently.
    • Process invoices, payments, and monitor cash flow effectively.
  • Client Communication
    • Collaborate with U.S.-based accounting firms to gather and verify financial and payroll information.
    • Address client inquiries and provide timely financial updates as needed.
  • Process Enhancement
    • Identify and suggest improvements to enhance accounting and payroll workflows, promoting efficiency and accuracy.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably with U.S. and/or CA clients or firms.
    • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar payroll systems like Gusto or ADP.
    • Familiarity with document management tools like Dext or Hubdoc or Bill.com.
    • Understanding of U.S. GAAP and tax regulations.
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Reliable high-speed internet connection and remote work setup.
