Purpose of Role

The Data Analyst role performs accounting and reporting tasks within the Record to Report cycle ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teamwork
    • Takes responsibility for assigned deliverables contributing to the team's objectives.
    • Demonstrates personal accountability and commitment to quality.
    • Participates in skills development and training activities.
  • Collaboration
    • Collaborates with other finance teams to ensure transaction accuracy.
    • Supports responses to audit queries under Subject Matter Experts guidance.
  • Operational Tasks
    • Posts journal entries and accruals according to policy.
    • Performs general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Assists in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
    • Investigates variances and resolves discrepancies.
    • Maintains compliance with IFRS/GAAP and company policies.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Provides documentation and schedules for audits.
    • Supports process improvement activities.
    • Maintains complete and accurate financial records.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in Record to Report or General Ledger (fresh graduates with accounting backgrounds considered).
  • Solid technical accounting knowledge (IFRS & local GAAP) and experience with month-end close activities.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups); exposure to Power BI or reporting tools helpful.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Customer service mindset and solid problem-solving/analytical ability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
