Protecting our digital assets is a top priority. As a Cyber Defense Operations Engineer, you will play a key role in identifying and managing cyber risks. You will assist with the execution of our CDO strategy and program initiatives, working closely with subject matter experts, peers, and leaders across various lines of business.

This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly. You will administer systems to deliver high availability and security, troubleshoot root causes of failure, and provide basic support across a variety of security systems.

You will also participate in 24/7 on-call rotations to resolve critical issues, leverage information security activities and technologies to raise cyber situational awareness and protection, and maintain technical standards, architectural/engineering diagrams, and procedures for shoreside, shipboard, and newbuild IT and technology.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of enterprise security tool categories, including firewalls, VPN, web security proxies, and endpoint security tools. You will also need to be able to perform independent analysis of complex problems and work collaboratively as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience, 4-6 years of experience within Information Security, and 2+ years of experience in information security operations roles.
