Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced writer with a background in creating instructional materials to develop high-quality English copy for a client specializing in education for financial professionals.

This position focuses on creating certification course materials, blogs, and whitepapers while collaborating with the client's existing writing teams to ensure content aligns with organizational goals and standards.

The ideal candidate will inform and engage target audiences, driving business outcomes in the financial protection sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Writing clear, compelling copy that informs and instructs various media (e.g. long form blog posts, learning modules, skills assessments, surveys, articles, whitepapers, etc.).
  • Interpreting content briefs to understand assigned tasks and underlying asks; following up where more information is needed.
  • Engaging with client subject matter experts and teams to understand purpose, key takeaways, and calls to action.
  • Adhering to client brand and editorial guidelines.
  • Applying feedback from client teams and quality control editors.
  • Partnering with client teams, making suggestions, and bringing own ideas and expertise to the table.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interest in education, adult-learning, and crime and fraud.
  • Ability to transform content briefs into engaging courseware or narratives.
  • Strong research skills and natural curiosity to learn new topics.
  • Ability to facilitate interviews and workshops with subject matter experts to gather required input.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with content and learning management systems.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in copywriter/content creator roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, Communications, English, or equivalent experience.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, skilled, and imaginative writer with a deep understanding of writing for adult learning.
