Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a clear framework for finance policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to our policy framework.
  • Establish appropriate policies and procedures for financial management across the organization.
  • Conduct a comprehensive review and approval process for policies and procedures.
  • Communicate and orient stakeholders to new policies and procedures or changes to existing ones.
  • Provide advice on interpreting and implementing finance policies and procedures.
  • Assist in identifying and improving processes and practices within the team and global finance operations, with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Policy Development and Amendment
    • Develop finance policies and procedures aligned with our policy framework, ensuring compliance.
    • Prepare new policies and procedures, and amend existing ones based on external research, feedback, and input from stakeholders and subject matter experts.
    • Implement a robust review process for all policies and procedures, consulting relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts.
    • Keep up-to-date with organisational policy changes and identify necessary amendments to finance policies and procedures for alignment.
  • Communication of Policies and Procedures
    • Develop a clear communication framework for new and updated policies and procedures.
    • Timely and clear written communications to stakeholders across the organisation.
    • Update the organisation's intranet site as the central repository for all policies and procedures.
    • Conduct virtual training, updates, and workshops on significant topics, common problems/issues, and other areas requiring deeper understanding.
  • Advice and Support
    • Advise colleagues on interpreting and implementing finance policies.
    • Support other departments in developing and reviewing policies and procedures, including facilitating stakeholder discussions and approvals.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • Lead process improvement initiatives, supporting automation, quality, and efficiency improvements using technology.
    • Stay current in related finance areas through self-study and professional development efforts.
