Job Description:

A field service technician is responsible for performing mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic testing, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of cranes. This includes performing inspections, diagnosing issues, and conducting crane health checks to ensure the equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

Additionally, this role involves conducting operator trainings and commissioning new or used cranes sold to customers. Field service technicians must also prepare reports and provide recommendations for maintenance to customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mobile cranes.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to identify issues with crane systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers and answer questions regarding crane operation and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to improve crane performance and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electromechanical Technology or 2-year technical course specializing in Electromechanical technology.

Skills:
  • Basic English oral and written communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Able to read and interpret technical diagrams
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Work Environment:
  • Work overtime as required
  • Extensive domestic travelling may be required
  • Willing to work on provincial assignments
