Job Description

You will be a key contributor to the development and maintenance of our core infrastructure, powering a high-growth global platform. Our database clusters, load balancers, and Linux/Azure systems drive the entire platform, supporting thousands of companies in real-time.

Your work directly impacts the platform's speed, reliability, and scalability, enabling rapid expansion into new markets. Every decision you make matters, and your expertise will shape the foundation of a system that must be available 24/7 across multiple regions without fail.

This is a fully remote opportunity with no travel to customer locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and optimize MariaDB clusters and MaxScale load balancers for high availability.
  • Administer Ubuntu Linux servers on Azure VMs, including patching, tuning, and automation.
  • Manage and optimize Azure resources including Traffic Manager, load balancers, and networking.
Requirements
  • 3+ years as a MySQL or Maria DBA (cloud or hybrid).
  • Strong skills in MariaDB clustering and replication preferred but not required.
  • Hands-on Linux (Ubuntu) and Azure administration experience.
  • Performance tuning, backup, and disaster recovery know-how.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, scripting).
  • Experience with security compliance in regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of large-scale, high-availability systems.
