Job Title: Data Engineer 2

This role is for an experienced professional with a strong background in data engineering, particularly with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. You will be working on delivering and supporting data integrations from internal and external sources into the technical stack, ensuring accurate delivery to systems.

You will have a key role in designing and building a robust Enterprise Data Warehouse, which requires expertise in relational and dimensional data modeling, as well as experience with warehouse technologies like SQL, Snowflake, or AWS Redshift. Your responsibilities will include building new ETL components, making changes to existing software, and leveraging monitoring tools to track pipeline performance.

As part of our team, you will contribute to defining scalable data warehouse architecture and coordinate production, development, and sandbox environments. This role also involves collaborating with Business Analysts and Technical Architects to clarify business requirements and offering recommendations for improvements.

  • Designing and implementing ETL components
  • Developing Matillion ETL scripts and orchestrations
  • Ensuring best practices in ETL development
  • Leveraging monitoring tools for pipeline performance tracking
  • Developing complex SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction and insertion
  • Engaging with stakeholders to clarify requirements and offer recommendations
  • Defining and managing scalable data warehouse architecture
What You Will Bring:
  • Essential:
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT, specifically with ETL in an enterprise environment
  • Knowledge in ETL design methodologies, including best practices, performance tuning, architecture, and monitoring
  • Proficiency with at least one ETL tool (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, Matillion, Talend)
  • Experience with relational and dimensional data modeling and ability to represent data using standard techniques
  • Strong understanding of SQL and stored procedures
  • Experience with warehouse technologies like SQL, Snowflake, or AWS Redshift
  • Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
