Key Job Details

The Threat Intelligence Lead will be responsible for owning and executing Canonical's threat intelligence strategy. They will identify targeted intrusion cyber threats, trends, and new developments by cyber threat actors through analysis of proprietary and open source datasets.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain OSINT research environments to enhance product and internal cybersecurity controls
  • Develop and implement OSINT tradecraft, principles, and techniques to improve threat detection
  • Identify, track, and analyze targeted intrusion cyber threats, trends, and new developments by cyber threat actors
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform on activity of interest and contribute to the wider threat intelligence community
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a threat intelligence leader or similar role
  • Knowledgeable about the current open source threat landscape and computer networking/infrastructure concepts
  • Highly competent with OSINT tools (e.g., Buscador, Trace Labs OSINT VM, OSINT Framework, Maltego, Shodan, social media scraping tools)
  • Able to identify, organize, catalogue, and track adversary tradecraft trends
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical content to various audiences
