Product Development Specialist

The Role

We are currently seeking a skilled Product Development Specialist to join our team. As a Product Development Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth product development lifecycle, managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and analyzing financial data to ensure profitable partnerships.

You will work closely with our Product Development team to source new suppliers, manage timelines, and meet deadlines. This role requires strong organizational skills and agility to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers, including all direct communication, sample sourcing, pricing negotiation, and timeline management to ensure suppliers meet all required deadlines.
• Conduct financial analyses for new and ongoing products, including cost and margin analysis, using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to ensure profitable outcomes.
• Work closely with the product development team to understand product requirements and ensure that activities align with product development timelines and budgets.
• Identify and source new suppliers to meet business needs, including researching and evaluating potential suppliers for new or existing projects.
• Manage timelines and meet deadlines to ensure timely delivery of all new products launched per season.
• Ensure Production team conducts contract negotiations with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
• Ensure all internal documents are up-to-date at all times for accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide clear and timely communication with all internal stakeholders for updates, decisions, and deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal designers and external suppliers to develop packaging that meets company standards.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Product Development Specialist with experience in Product Development. The ideal candidate will have:

• 2+ years of experience in Product Development.
• Desirable: Experience in Beauty, Hair Goods, or Hair Accessories.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in Financial Analysis and Data Analysis using Excel or Google Sheets.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with Suppliers and Internal Stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience with software tools such as Asana or similar.
• English language proficiency.
