The successful candidate will support the group analytics function, which includes all analytic functions of the company, such as pricing of debt contracts, asset management, business insight/reporting, data warehousing, consumer credit underwriting, and loans marketing support.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Using various data analysis tools to interpret and report on data
  • Providing proactive suggestions for improving company processes or approaches based on findings
  • Reporting on past events, issues, and trends to enable other employees to learn from them
  • Serving as a liaison between different departments within the organization
  • Testing new BI tools or analytics techniques to discover better ways of analyzing data
  • Executing and improving processes that support operations (e.g., monthly account sweeps, leavers process, team changes)
  • Offering frontline support and troubleshooting for Creditport users
  • Deploying new reports and implementing improvements to existing reports
  • Supporting the internal analytics team in performing analysis and modeling
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of statistical analysis techniques
  • Math skills, including strong algebra and calculus comprehension, as well as readiness to learn new mathematical concepts when necessary
  • The ability to communicate complex information effectively in report form in English
  • Familiarity with common software tools used for big data analysis, including solid programming experience in SAS, SQL, or Python
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in using spreadsheets and dashboards, Microsoft Excel, and Tableau
  • 7+ years of commercial experience
  • Tertiary qualification in mathematics, statistics, computer science, econometrics, or related fields
