About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate professional to join our dynamic team in the field of data engineering. This role will apply your specialist skills to design, build, and deploy high-quality data solutions that enable smarter, data-driven decisions across the business.
This hands-on role will involve working across a variety of modern data technologies including cloud-native data platforms, machine learning model deployment, data pipelines, master data and governance tools, and analytics/visualisation platforms. You will collaborate closely with other engineers, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver mission-critical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with team members and business SMEs to understand business problems, opportunities, data requirements, and technical needs
- Build and deploy back-end software services, data applications/services, and APIs
- Design, implement, and support data pipelines and integrations on cloud platforms
- Productionise machine learning models in collaboration with Data Scientists and ML Engineers
- Document key components and share knowledge across squads and chapters
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, security, and technology standards
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional squads and attend agile ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, sprint planning)
- Support infrastructure deployment using DevOps practices and infrastructure as code
- Provide third-level support and participate in the change management process when required
- Assist with operational handover to support teams for newly developed solutions
