As a Finance Operations Assistant, you'll work closely with our client's Operations Assistant and Financial Controller, owning the AP/AR, reconciliation, and finance admin functions. This is a hands-on role for someone with a process improvement mindset who loves finance and numbers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Manage finance emails and respond to queries
  • Prepare AP drafts and process payments
  • Extract AR reports and follow up on overdue invoices
  • Raise invoices via various systems
  • Reconciliations & Month-End
  • Clear credit card transactions and receipts in Xero
  • Support month-end data and report updates
  • Set up new employees in Xero
  • Finance Admin & Compliance
  • Track credit card spending
  • Maintain PAYG, VAT, and internal control documentation
What You'll Bring to the Role
  • Solid time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong communication skills for working with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Proactive, tech-savvy, and comfortable using digital tools and accounting systems
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a solutions-focused mindset
  • Prior experience in accounting roles is a plus
  • Familiarity with Xero and similar tools is advantageous
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
  • Adaptable, coachable, and dependable, someone who takes initiative and delivers results
