Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Utility Team Lead to oversee the management and mentoring of a team of Utility Engineers. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills to ensure high-quality inspections, data accuracy, and process improvements within the electric utility sector.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Utility Engineers, ensuring high-quality inspections and data accuracy.
  • Oversee the cataloging of utility assets and identification of equipment issues or hazards.
  • Ensure the quality control of work packages and compliance with project standards.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with utility companies to ensure project goals and deliverables are met.
  • Work closely with internal teams to align data accuracy with industry standards.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in the electric utility field (preferred).
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills (must-have).
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities (must-have).
  • Proficient computer skills with good written and oral communication abilities (must-have).
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), national engineering standards, utility construction standards, and best industry engineering practices (nice-to-have).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work remotely and coordinate effectively with a distributed workforce.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies within the utility sector.
