Job Opportunity: Accounting Professional

Maintaining accurate and detailed accounting records is a fundamental responsibility of this role. The day-to-day activities involve recording financial transactions such as income and outgoings, and posting them to various accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely and accurate Xero account coding & bank reconciliation for bookkeeping clients
  • Process prepayments/Accruals/Fixed asset coding & reconciliations
  • Manage payroll processing through Xero
  • Process supplier invoices in Hubdoc
  • Prepare BAS / IAS documents
  • Process payroll - adding new staff, bonuses, benefits, etc.
  • Conduct end-of-year payroll reporting
  • Reconcile accounts at the end of tax year (June 30th)
  • Declare worker compensation estimates and actuals
  • Provide management with monthly Xero reports
  • Grow into individual Australian tax return processing
  • Identify potential risks for clients and the business based on data and observations from checks performed and provide recommendations to mitigate impacts
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Finance or Accounting graduate
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred
Product Expertise:
  • Complete knowledge of client accounts and businesses
  • General AU Accounting/Bookkeeping experience with solid background
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Australian accounts
  • Knowledge of Australian Taxation and Compliance advantageous
  • Hands-on experience with accounting tools like Xero and Hubdoc
  • Experience in using Karbon not necessary but preferred
  • Microsoft Office applications skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn new systems and tools
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills
  • Able to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Communication Abilities:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
