Job Description

This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced technologist to lead and manage the engineering team responsible for designing, building, and operating modern distributed systems on private infrastructure for customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for Linux and cloud technologies, with experience in managing operations teams and leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality managed services.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Managed Service of customer environments, including customer service management, managed services operations, and consistent product improvement engineering.

You will also be expected to represent the BootStack team with respect to stakeholders, customers, and external teams, ensuring proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and cooperation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment.

This role requires a strong commitment to testing methodologies and maintainable code quality, as well as experience with agile software development methodologies and cloud topologies and technologies.

The ideal candidate will also have a proven track record of professional experience in software delivery using Python, Go, C, C++, Java, or similar languages, and/or managing operations teams.

A Bachelor's degree in a technology field is required, along with a demonstrated strong commitment to innovation and continuous learning.

This is a globally remote role that offers a competitive compensation package, a personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year, and opportunities for travel to new locations to meet colleagues.
