This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced software developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of complex software programs. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, coding, debugging, and implementing software programs that meet business requirements. You will work closely with DevOps and other development teams to develop and document company practices on building APIs using NodeJS in the AWS cloud.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Design and code software programs that are performance efficient, reliable, and easily maintainable.
  • Integration: Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
  • Requirements Gathering: Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
  • Programming Standards: Employ programming and design techniques that adhere to software development standards.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with DevOps and other development teams to develop and document company practices on building APIs using NodeJS in the AWS cloud.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain software documentation.
  • Tech Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.
Requirements:
  • Mandatory Skills and Experience:
    • TypeScript experience is required.
    • NodeJS experience is required.
    • AWS SAM, Cloud Formation, and Lambda experience is required.
    • MySQL experience is required.
    • REST experience is required.
    • Docker experience is required.
    • Unit Testing (JEST, Phpunit) experience is required.
    • Understanding of performance optimization techniques is required.
    • Proficient understanding of Object-Oriented Programming is required.
    • Familiarity with SOLID principles is required.
    • Understanding of security best practices is required.
    • AWS Certification (AWS Certified Developer - Associate or higher) is required.
  • Desirable Skills and Experience:
    • PHP 7 or up experience is an advantage.
    • AngularJS and Angular experience is an advantage.
    • C# and/or .Net experience is an advantage.
    • HTML5 and CSS3 experience is an advantage.
    • Working on Single-Page Applications experience is an advantage.
    • Zend Framework 2 and 3 and Laminas experience is an advantage.
    • Agile Scrum experience is an advantage.
