Empire Shared Services Phils. Inc is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Team Lead to join their multidisciplinary team of hardware developers.

The primary responsibilities of this role include providing support to management in directly supervising the daily operations of R&D Hardware and Technical Service within the Mechanical Engineering Team.

This involves collaboration with management to attain company objectives concerning quality, cost, delivery, and continuous improvement.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for collaborating with fellow designers to create alternatives and options for advancing projects and products.

Additionally, they will lead in engineering documentation, estimation, and process enhancement.

Responsibilities
  1. Receiving design data concepts, estimating budget, making activity plans and schedules, and disseminating tasks to team members.
  2. Monitoring the progress, status, and potential issues of each project.
  3. Reviewing mechanical designs, 3D/2D drawings, assembly drawings and diagrams, and analyzing potential design concerns and discussing with the team for possible countermeasures.
  4. Checking necessary engineering documents for machine mass production and design changes.
  5. Validating mechanical designs from trial up to mass production process.
  6. Facilitating design change concepts for quality improvement and VAVE activities.
  7. Providing technical support during assembly and disassembly of machines.
  8. Training and mentoring new hires and continually developing the skills of existing team members.
  9. Regularly evaluating team members and identifying areas of improvement.
  10. Supporting in design process for certain tasks to achieve project goals.

This is a leadership position that requires strong leadership and people management skills, as well as organizational and project management skills.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Mechatronics or related Engineering fields, and at least 5 years relevant work experience in similar roles in the gaming industry.

A strong proficiency in Solid works, 3D CAD software, or equivalent design-related software is required, as well as advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Power Point.

The salary for this role is approximately $120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
